About Kristian

Norwegian-born Kristian is currently one of the best triathletes in the world. Originally from a swimming background, Kristian also became one of Norway’s best junior distance runners and competed in the 2011 European Cross Country Championships. His first major success in triathlon came at the 2015 European Championships where he won bronze. He then went on to win multiple ITU World Cup races, gain podium placements at many WTS races and represent Norway at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.

Kristian has since won gold at the Men’s Individual Triathlon in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and made history in August 2021 by winning the World Triathlon Championship, making him the first man ever to hold both titles in the same year. In November 2021, Kristian also succeeded in beating the IRONMAN world record in Cozumel, Mexico with a time of 03:29:04.

2022, will see Kristian racing in the rescheduled 2021 IRONMAN World Championships in St George, Utah in May and the Ironman World Championships 2022 in Kona, Hawaii in October.
