Introducing Texaco Cetus VDL: An all-new range of high-performance industrial lubricants for compressors
Texaco has recently introduced Cetus VDL, a range of high-performance compressor oils. These industrial lubricants, formulated with Texaco’s varnish deposit control technology, are designed to deliver reduced deposit formation in air compressors – particularly in portable and stationary rotary, vane, screw, and piston compressors.
Cetus VDL compressor oil benefits
Blended with high quality paraffinic base oils and containing an additive system formulated to enhance oxidation resistance, Texaco Cetus VDL compressor oil helps provide corrosion protection and contribute to an improved varnish deposit control performance. Utilising its specially developed technology, the compressor oil helps minimise varnish formation, offering maintained peak performance and reduced maintenance downtime.
In addition, Cetus VDL has been designed to prevent deposit buildup on critical components, enhancing compressor efficiency. The range of industrial lubricants is also capable of helping to provide protection from rust and corrosion, even under severe conditions.

The range can be used alongside Texaco’s VARTECH Industrial System Cleaner to help minimise the impact of varnish. Users can first employ VARTECH Industrial System Cleaner, which works to remove existing varnish deposits and prepare the system for fresh oil, before using Cetus VDL with our advanced Varnish Deposit Control (VDC) technology to reduce varnish formation.

Texaco Cetus VDL meets or exceeds the requirements for a number of standards, including ISO 6743-3: ISO- L-DAG, DAH, DIN 51 506, and GB 12691:L-DAA, L-DAB, and is suitable for use in a wide range of OEM compressor equipment, making it a reliable choice among industrial lubricants.
