Strengthened Partnership between Petrol Ofisi and Chevron
A long-term agreement was signed between Petrol Ofisi and Chevron Brands International LLC, covering licensing, production, distribution and marketing of lubricants. With this comprehensive agreement, the US-based Chevron entrusted its operations in the Turkish lubricants market to Petrol Ofisi.
Within the scope of this cooperation where joint technology development and preparatory works have already commenced, Petrol Ofisi shall start the distribution and sales of Chevron’s automobile and industrial oils under the Texaco brand. Upon completion of preparations, Texaco-branded lubricant products are planned to be manufactured in Turkey starting from 2021.
Petrol Ofisi CEO Mr. Selim Şiper pointed out that the agreement also symbolised Chevron’s confidence in Turkey and in Petrol Ofisi.
Chevron Lubricants President Colleen Cervantes welcomed the beginning of a new chapter in a relationship with Petrol Ofisi that began 70 years ago.
This agreement between Turkey’s leader in the fuel and lubricants market Petrol Ofisi and one of the world’s leading lubricants companies, Chevron, embraces a long-term strategic partnership. This collaboration features a comprehensive scope encompassing the licensing, production, distribution and marketing of Chevron’s lubricant products under the Texaco brand.
Within the framework of this cooperation, preparations for joint technology development and production between Petrol Ofisi and Chevron were initiated. At the same time, Petrol Ofisi started the distribution and sales of Chevron’s lubricants for passenger cars, heavy vehicles, and industrial products under the Texaco brand at its 16.000 points of sale throughout Turkey. Following the completion of preparations, Chevron’s lubricants are planned to be manufactured in Turkey starting from 2021. Distribution and marketing of all the products shall be carried out also by Petrol Ofisi under the Texaco brand.
This agreement signed between Chevron and Petrol Ofisi, is not actually the first cooperation initiative between the two brands. Since 2014, Petrol Ofisi has been distributing and marketing Chevron’s marine lubricants in Turkey. The mutual trust and satisfaction from this successful collaboration was a major factor in the realisation of the giant long-term cooperation agreement between Petrol Ofisi and Chevron.

Reiterating Petrol Ofisi’s goal of quality products and services and customer-focused approach, Petrol Ofisi CEO Mr. Selim Şiper said: “With this approach, we are providing ideal solutions to Turkey’s needs thanks to the extensive sales network we have in the lubricants market in Turkey with 16.000 points of sale, and to the rich product range of more than 400 products developed at the Petrol Ofisi Technology Centre POTEM and manufactured at our Derince factory. We are now further enriching these ideal solutions with Chevron products. The long-term comprehensive cooperation we have with Chevron, is also an indication of Petrol Ofisi’s success in the field of lubricants production, distribution and marketing.
