Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 receives Scania LDF-4 approval

Texaco Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 engine oil has been awarded Scania LDF-4 approval.

Following tests undertaken by commercial vehicle manufacturer Scania, Texaco’s high performance synthetic heavy duty engine oil Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 has met the transport solution provider’s criteria to be used in its vehicles. 

The Scania LDF-4 (Long Drain Field Test) approval ensures that vehicles are operated with the required oil quality. To meet the specification, Scania tests oils and engines for 155,000 km in long haulage, before draining and examining the engine parts.

As well as the Scania LDF-4 approval, Texaco Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 also carries several other approvals, including MAN 3677, MB-Approval 228.51/MB-Approval 228.52, and Volvo VDS-4.5.

Delo 400 XSP-SD SAE 5W-30 has been formulated for use in a wide range of naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines in on-highway, off-highway, and construction applications. This heavy duty engine oil is designed to help improve fuel economy, maintain robust component wear protection and engine service life. In addition, its low viscosity synthetic base offers rapid circulation in cold and sub-zero engine start-ups.
