What credentials / experience do you have?

A lifelong passion for technical subjects has guided my academic and professional pursuits. I hold dual engineering degrees in chemical and mechanical engineering, and further supplemented my education with an MBA from St John's University in New York. As I progressed in my career, I continued to seek opportunities for growth and development, completing the Energy Innovation and Emerging Technologies Program at Stanford University Graduate School.

What do you believe Texaco has to offer customers?

As a trusted name in the industry, I believe Texaco has a strong brand identity and a reputation for producing high-quality, reliable products. Additionally, Texaco's global reach and production capabilities contribute to customers’ confidence in the availability of our products, allowing them to focus on their own core businesses.

How have your previous roles helped you understand customer needs?

I am fortunate to have a unique perspective on the lubricants industry, having worked on the technical formulation of the lubricants, as well as being a consumer of the finished product. My background in engineering has allowed me to understand the importance of quality and reliability in lubricants, and how they play a crucial role in the technology strategy for original equipment manufacturers. I am able to effectively communicate with engineering professionals, which makes my job very rewarding.

Who do you most admire and why?

Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors, stands out to me. With a background in engineering and an MBA from Stanford, she embodies the type of professional growth and success that I aspire to. Barra's journey, starting on the assembly line and eventually, becoming the first female CEO of an automobile manufacturer, is particularly inspiring. In addition to her impressive career achievements, she is also a strong advocate for gender equality, and mentors aspiring female leaders. I admire Barra's ability to balance her personal and professional life, including her responsibilities as a mother and dog lover, while also being a strategic and forward-thinking leader in an industry facing many challenges.

When you need to be at your most productive – what’s your go-to trick?

I am fortunate to have a flexible work environment and split my time between the office and home. This arrangement allows me to be productive and responsive to the needs of our customers. When I'm in the office, I focus on prioritizing my tasks and make use of the resources and expertise of my colleagues. At home, I try to create a quiet and distraction-free space to work and set boundaries around my work time to maintain my productivity.

One tip that I find particularly effective in boosting my productivity is taking breaks to recharge and clear my mind. When I need a break, I go for a quick walk with my French Bulldog, Luna. This helps me to refocus and come back to my work with renewed energy and concentration.
