Uno-X and M.J. Eriksson join forces to test Texaco Delo 600 ADF
Danish Texaco Lubricants distributor, Uno-X, has recently become the supplier of Texaco Delo 600 ADF for Denmark’s largest earthworks and civil engineering contractor, M.J. Eriksson.
After attaining promising test results in the USA, Uno-X is now conducting its own test in collaboration with M.J. Eriksson to determine the effect of Texaco Delo 600 ADF on factors such as diesel consumption and service intervals.
Keld Østergaard, Sales Manager at Uno-X, said: “We have been fortunate to perform this test with M.J. Eriksson, and we are eager to see the results. Similar tests were conducted in the USA with very promising results, where many of the challenges, such as short service intervals due to excessive soot formation and machine downtime, were significantly improved.”
“The challenges mentioned are ones that many contractors are familiar with. When soot accumulates in diesel particulate filters (DPFs), the machine must work harder to operate. This also means higher diesel consumption, and that the machine needs to be regularly serviced to be thoroughly cleaned. We hope to address these challenges with Texaco Delo 600 ADF, whether it’s within construction machines, trucks, buses, or agricultural machinery, for example.”
“We hope that the results will support our theory that there can be longer intervals between servicing the machines. This is important for our customers because it means less downtime and that the machine ‘runs longer on a litre,” continues Keld Østergaard.
The test is expected to run for up to 12 months, but the first test results are anticipated by the end of 2024.
Developed with OMNIMAX technology, Texaco Delo 600 ADF is designed to deliver robust protection to both the engine and emissions system across mixed fleets. The product’s low ash technology promotes reduced DPF clogging, which helps minimise DPF maintenance, equipment downtime, and service costs.
What’s more, the long-drain engine oil also helps to improve fuel economy, while its ashless dispersants help avoid oil filter clogging, harmful sludge, abrasive polishing, valve train wear, and viscosity increase.
